happy halloween!

i was so gratified to see michael pollan's quote in the new york times today. despite everything, i feel it's my duty as an american with a front porch to hand out individually-wrapped candy to all comers. “I well remember my disgust whenever someone offered me a homemade brownie or, worst of all, an apple.
